Oct. 13: Rauh NAPIL Chapter to Host Alumni Reunion Dinner Dance
All Alumni Ticket Fees to Fund Summer Fellowships
Beginning this fall, our NAPIL chapter will host the annual Alumni Reunion Dinner Dance in the UDC Gymnasium. NAPIL officers and activists are already busily soliciting food donations from area restaurants and pledges of financial and other support from merchants, individuals and law firms with a goal of completely underwriting the cost of the event. When this goal is met, all ticket sales will benefit UDC-DCSL students through providing support for full-time NAPIL summer public interest fellowships!
We are envisioning an elegant event in an elaborately decorated and transformed Gym, an international smorgasbord of food, drinks of all kinds, and live R&B entertainment featuring the lead singing of our own NAPIL Chapter President Brandi Nave!
For the first time, all students, staff, faculty and friends of the School of Law are invited to celebrate with alumni. Tickets are $50 for individuals/$80 for couples in advance and $60/90 at the door. Students and others on low or fixed incomes may pay half price.
Students who "work the event" may, of course, enter at no charge. We already have a number of students signed up including Richard Moss, 1L, a professional maitre’d in one of his many former "lives" who will perform similar duties for us in full tuxedo and regalia! We’ll need more greeters and folks to help with set up, take down, food pick up, front desk, bar-tending, donation solicitation and more. Contact Brandi Nave, Gina Walton or Joe Libertelli to get involved.
