Dean Canty worked as the Director of Admission at Antioch School of Law at its inception. She completed her doctoral studies coursework (ABD) in Higher Education Administration and Policy Studies at the George Washington University and was an Education Policy Fellow at the Institute for Educational Leadership. She received a Cafritz Foundation fellowship and studied at the University of Legon in Accra, Ghana. Prior to working as a law school admission professional, she taught in the District's Public Schools for several years. Dean Canty received the UDC-DCSL Distinguished Service Award in 2000 and the UDC Employee of the Year Award in 2006. She is a member of the National Network of Law School Officers, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers, and the Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors.
