Thea D. Davis

Thea Davis is an attorney with
the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, where she
serves as the Deputy General Counsel for the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
and Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration.
Previously, she was a corporate
associate at Varnum Riddering and a litigation associate at Miller Johnson,
both in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her
legal practice and interests include tax, ERISA, mergers and acquisitions, and
securities.
While in law school, Professor
Davis was a Senior Associate Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and
Managing Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical
Law. She also clerked for the Michigan
Department of the Attorney General, where she focused on antitrust and securities
law issues.
Before attending law school,
Professor Davis was an elementary school teacher in Alpharetta, Georgia and
Trenton, New Jersey.
Professor Davis is a member of
the District of Columbia Bar and the State Bar of Michigan. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa
Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
