The Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) Library is located in the Mason Law Library Reference Room, Building 39, Level B. The OCPD Library contains directories of legal employers, law firm directories, graduate law program guides, law school directories, guides to public interest law, books with general advice on career planning, and more. OCPD is continually adding to the library’s collection of publications that provide job leads, helpful career advice, and bar exam information.
OCPD also maintains subscriptions to a number of databases to help students and alumni to find jobs in the private and public sectors. The databases can be accessed via the Career Services Subscriptions page. Access is limited to students and alumni who are signed into the website.
The School of Law emails "The Career Center Update" once a week to UDC-DCSL students and alumni to highlight newly posted jobs and internships, and to remind students and alumni about upcoming career programs, application deadlines, and other important information. We encourage students and alumni to explore the website and use its many resources. The "Update" only lists the most recent jobs and titles. On the website, you can search for positions by certain criteria (student or graduate, full-time job, internship, etc). Or you can browse all the sections. For complete details please visit to the Career Center.
If you are interested in reaching out to alumni who work in a field or for an organization that is of interest to you, please see Dena Bauman or Joe Libertelli.
